If we don’t like ourselves, we are perpetually ready to avenge one self.’ Friedrich Nietzsche

Feeling of coherence

According to the salutogenesis model, health is not a condition, but must be understood as a process. The feeling of coherence is a central element of salutogenetic thinking. According to Antonovsky (1987), it is composed of three closely interrelated components: Comprehensibility; indicates the extent to which stimuli, events or developments are perceived as structured, orderly and predictable. Manageability; refers to the extent in which a person perceives suitable personal and social resources to handle internal and external requirements Relevance; refers to the extent of which a person perceives their life as sensible and sees at least some of the demands of life as challenges that are worth the commitment and investment.
